What does a disinfection job do?

You may find many germs in your environment that pose severe health hazards to you and your loved ones. The “big four” types of germs are:
- Bacteria are one-celled organisms that can feed off living beings (such as humans and animals). Some bacteria are beneficial for our bodies, but many of them are prone to cause infections in various parts of the body.
- Viruses: These are traces of genetic material covered by a protein coating. They’re essentially parasitic entities that need a whole cell to survive, whether it be a human, animal, or plant cell. Some notable examples of viruses include SARS-CoV-2 (famously known as Covid-19), HIV/AIDS, and influenza (responsible for the common flu).
- Fungi: Fungi are multicelled organisms likened to plants. They thrive in humid and warm environments and can provoke a myriad of ailments. Most fungal infections are not life-threatening, but they can be dangerous for people suffering from auto-immune diseases or severely weakened immune systems.
- Protozoa: The protozoa are similar to bacteria because they’re also single-celled. However, these tend to be larger and harbor a nucleus and other identical cell structures. For this reason, they’re more comparable to animal and plant cells. Like fungi, they flourish in damp environments and are leading causes of amebiasis, giardiasis, and even malaria.
A disinfection job aims to kill most of these microorganisms by applying various chemicals and, in some cases, non-ionizing radiation (such as UV lights).
What’s the difference between cleaning and disinfecting?

Cleaning only removes debris, gunk, dirt, and dust from surfaces, while sanitizing breaks up all germ buildups. Cleaning jobs usually only require regular soap (or similar detergent) and water to loosen up any stuck particles.
While cleaning is essential to a germ-free environment, a thorough disinfection job is often necessary as reinforcement. As said earlier, when we disinfect, we go the “extra mile” by directly killing off germs.
Disinfecting an area is the most effective approach to tackling the spread of contagion and is crucial in our battle against SARS-CoV-2 and other persisting health threats.
What types of disinfectants do you use to clean a house?

We use high-quality environmentally-friendly products approved by the National Environmental Agency (NEA) to disinfect all surfaces. We also take advantage of UVC (Ultraviolet-C) sterilizers and similar equipment.
What is the procedure you follow for home disinfection?

While we can disinfect in record time, we don’t rush it! We follow a proven, well-planned procedure when performing any disinfection work. This ensures the best results within the shortest possible timeframe.
With that said, the process goes as follows:
- The person supervising the work will inspect the space and devise a workable strategy.
- Our staff will then mist the living space using a high-performance fine-volume misting device. No one should be on the premises during the misting process or at least 30 minutes after!
- After the mist has settled in, our professionals will wipe and disinfect all surfaces. We put all resulting wastes in securely-tied double-lined trash bags (or similar) per NEA guidelines.
- We will let you know when the job is finished and allow you to look over the unit. You could point to areas that need further addressing or might look unfinished.
- Finally, our team will proceed to do the proper rectifications before leaving the house.
Do I need to keep family members and pets away during disinfection work?

Whenever necessary, we’ll ask everyone in the house to leave while we do our work. This might occur each time we use any hazardous substances or materials.
We also advise against having pets at any stage, as they may hinder proper cleaning, disinfection, and sanitization. Animals, no matter how tame they are, can introduce microbes and germs onto already disinfected surfaces rather quickly.
What types of cleaning services do you offer?

Our goal is to perform an all-encompassing cleaning and disinfecting job. With regards to cleaning, the list of tasks is exhaustive!
We cover all areas of the house, including bedrooms, bathrooms, the living room, the kitchen, and even several outdoor spots.
Some of the cleaning tasks include:
- Brooming, vacuuming, and mopping.
- Wiping tables and similar surfaces
- Scrubbing toilets
- Dusting and cleaning fan ceilings
- Cleaning windows
- Changing the bedsheets
Do you perform COVID-19 disinfection?

We can eliminate any risks of COVID-19 infection from your home. We use the latest disinfection technology (steamers, foggers, etc.) for these purposes. We rely on NEA-approved solid disinfecting solutions such as Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2).
While the COVID-19 pandemic is mainly in its endemic stage (thank goodness!), you can never be too safe. New Omicron strains have been circulating recently in various countries across Southeast Asia, such as Malaysia.
Can you perform end-of-tenancy cleaning and disinfecting?

We can perform cleaning and disinfecting services whenever you require them, especially in the circumstances as stressful as a tenancy termination.
We take end-of-tenancy cleaning extremely seriously, considering all the legal hurdles involved. We ensure you will be okay with your landlord down the road. With us, your chances of getting your deposit back increase dramatically!
Do I need to be at home during the cleaning/disinfecting tasks?

We recommend you have someone who can show our supervisor around the premises before the first cleaning session. That way, the cleaning and disinfecting process can run smoothly without significant setbacks or misunderstandings.
As for the remaining sessions, it’s unnecessary to be at home while we do our duties, so you can safely continue your usual schedule.
